Hello!
The famous British missionary D. Brodie, taking to heart the “white men’s burden” in the middle of the 19th century and giving his best to civilize the tribes along the Zambezi river, used to say that “history is what ferments between the autumn and spring harvest”. To this effect when once early in the afternoon we we’re waiting for the beginning of next round of the notorious Bulgarian football championship, we recalled that the past needs not only analysis and research but also ferment, serving with smile and slowly drinking a draught, which would bring pleasure and would create the necessary mood, transforming “the discussion” on the history into a friendly conversation.
In such a way the idea has appeared of creating such a place, where freely and with ease, but in the same time backed with arguments, we can put under consideration questions from the past and present which attract the attention of the “professionals” but also of those who sometimes we call a little bit with condescension “amateurs” or “history fans” and without whose passion after all there won’t be a historical debate. This place is a virtual one, its name’s ANAMNESIS.INFO – a site which unites two mutually related initiatives – the promotion of an electronic journal and a portal whose purpose is history.
